Born in Wilno. In 1940 his family was deported to Siberia,Russia, then evacuated to Isfahan, Persia. In 1944 he was invited to New Zealand with other Polish children. Studied art at Welington College N.Z. 1956-59 and came to London in the 1960s and has lived there ever since. Studied art in the studio of Professor Marian Bohusz-Szyszko (1962-64).
Also studied Chinese painting for a year. Studied photography and exhibited with the Kodak Camera Club in Holborn. Took part in group art exhibitions in New Zealand and England; two one man shows in the Polish Social and Cultural Centre POSK Gallery, London.
